Psychotherapy
I offer psychotherapy and spiritual counseling, as well as a unique blend of both, in sessions that may last 50, 80, or 110 minutes, to be determined in advance depending on your needs and preferences. These are available at my Good Therapy San Diego (GTSD) office in Encinitas and online.
I also offer teaching services in North County San Diego as well as online, and I’m willing to travel locally. Due to California law, when I am operating in a teaching role, I am not functioning as an LMFT and therefore cannot assess, diagnose, or treat in any therapeutic capacity. If interested, please feel free to drop me a line.
For psychotherapy and spiritual counseling, my fees are available upon request. A sliding scale rate may be offered depending on individual circumstances. You also have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate prior to the start of our work explaining the cost of services.
I accept major credit and debit cards, cash, or check. Credit and debit cards are charged at midnight after the session has taken place.
For teaching, this is a labor of love, and as such, I am not looking for any remuneration. However, you are invited to give a donation in the amount of your choosing, all of which will go to the local Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
Not currently. You may receive a monthly statement or superbill that can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement, but there’s no guarantee that they will approve your request. To increase your chances of getting reimbursed, here are some questions you may want to ask your insurance provider prior to the start of our work:
- Does my insurance plan cover out-of-network therapy services?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- What is the maximum amount that my plan will reimburse?
- What documentation do I need to submit for reimbursement?
- Is there a deadline for submitting claims for reimbursement?
- Are there restrictions based on type of therapy or therapist credentials?
- Is there anything else I should know?
If you feel drawn to take this step, then I encourage you to send me a message via the Connect page. I will respond within two business days, and we can set up an initial phone consultation at no cost. If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive an electronic packet of paperwork (hard copy if necessary) to read, fill out, and sign before our first visit.
Every session is different, but each time we meet, you can expect us to focus on your specific needs. I meet you where you’re at, create an action plan with you, and then we work together to achieve your goals. You will always receive my undivided attention, receptivity, and commitment.
As no two circumstances are alike, it’s difficult to approximate the duration and/or frequency of treatment. After our first session, I’ll share my honest professional recommendation on these matters, and we can continuously check in as our work progresses.
Psychotherapy
If you request a virtual session, I will send you a link with simple instructions for logging into my secure and private video room. If a phone session is needed, I’ll call you at your preferred number at the time of our scheduled appointment. For psychotherapy and spiritual counseling, please note that all telehealth sessions must take place in California.
There is no cost for sessions cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. For sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, the fee is $120.
I do not prescribe medications, but it is within my scope of practice to assist with psychoeducation regarding medication.
As an LMFT, I am happy to consult with any healthcare professionals you have seen or are currently working with. I believe in multidisciplinary care and will do my best to collaborate with your team to give you the best treatment possible. I am also happy to connect you with other professionals who may complement our work or who may be a better fit if the need arises.
Come as you are!
